Family run Mandalay is within the Stonehenge UNESCO World Heritage site in Amesbury, the oldest continuously occupied settlement in Great Britain (since 8820 BC). The house and garden is within Vespasian’s Camp (43 AD) in a meandering bend of the River Avon. It’s a perfect base for families, walkers, cyclists, anglers and tourists.
Mandalay is ideally located for walks to Stonehenge (30 mins), Durrington Walls, Woodhenge, Old Sarum, or day trips to Salisbury, roman Bath and historic Winchester. It's a ten minute walk over the River Avon, on past the Abbey, to Amesbury town centre where you can find several pubs, restaurants and takeaways, a variety of independent shops including gift shops, baker and butcher, supermarkets, ATMs, tourist information office and the new local history museum. There are good bus links to Salisbury and the local area. In accordance with government guidelines and for your safety, we provide hand sanitiser, linens washed to local guidelines and a self-contained environment. For the comfort of future guests the property is non-smoking/non-vaping and no pets are permitted. The holiday home is an annexe to the main house and has a secure and private entrance, opening to the living room and dining area. Also on the ground floor is a bathroom (bath with shower over); a kitchen with a sink, ceramic hob and oven, microwave, under counter fridge (with ice box), Nespresso Vertuo coffee machine and washing machine; and at the rear a twin bedroom with access to the garden. The upstairs is accessed from a staircase off the kitchen and has a further twin bedroom; a super bathroom with power shower; and a spacious double bedroom with garden and countryside views. |

Off-road parking for two to three vehicles. You are most welcome to enjoy the beautiful garden which faces south across a patio and a croquet lawn, down to a Greek folly. Cyclists and walkers will appreciate the secure bike shed and boot and coat racks. In case of inclement weather there are plenty of games, puzzles, books and televisions. |
